About Yunora
On staying
Less arranged. More time.
The name comes from the weather here: clouds stop on this slope, and so do people. We kept the old beams and stone walls, and made every new addition as light as we could, so the mountain stays the main character.
There is no grand reception desk and no scripted welcome. The person who greets you may also make your tea that afternoon. We spend our effort on the weight of the linen, the heat of the water, and a path that feels good underfoot.
Yunora keeps only a handful of rooms and one long window facing the valley. A good mountain stay should not keep you busy ticking off places. It should let you hear rain on the eaves again.
The objects in each room come from nearby makers. The tea list changes with the season. The trails carry no finish markers. Walk into the mist at dawn, or sit in the courtyard until dark.
